According to the manual, HDMI 1 port only supports 1440p @ 60Hz, whereas HDMI 2 port supports 1440p @ 60/100/120/144Hz. Adding a docking station wouldn't up what the laptop is capable of doing. You would have to actually have a laptop that is capable of working with it to make it work. Now if you wanted to use an external monitor, but at a lower Hz, then that would work.
