I’ve heard many complaints recently from owners of hydro-drives (mostly other makes, but some Simplicity) of whining, slipping, and poor performance. I have a ’78 Landlord with a 12 hp Kohler and Sunstrand Hydro (7012H). To the best of my knowledge the hydro is original and has never been repaired.
